Consumer Protection
The Consumer Resource Guide is provided for consumers that may need to report an issue or complaint in Ventura County. Avoid solicitors who contact you by telephone, door-to-door, or via the internet. Ask the solicitor for references and call those references. Call the government agency that licenses the profession to be sure the solicitor is licensed. When appropriate, the Consumer Protection Unit will investigate consumer complaints. These complaints typically involve businesses within Ventura County that are involved in unfair or illegal practices. Any inquiries or referrals about potential violations of consumer laws can be made on the form below or by calling (805) 662-1750. Top
